The humanist foundations of leadership for large-scale change begin with the belief that real progress requires empathetic human connectivity. They see every person as a potential contributor to solutions and build relationships that respect everyone’s dignity and enlarge our common humanity.
This approach nurtures respect, empathy, and trust; distributes initiative, voice, power, and leadership as widely as possible; and encourages open experimentation, discovery, and emergent learning. By honoring the distinct views and priorities of each participant and community, it builds common purpose and collective strategies grounded in listening and trust.
